Ethan's 4th birthday

Our sweet, sweet boy has turned 4! I can't believe it! Each year goes by quicker and quicker and I say the same thing. He is growing so fast and it seems like yesterday he was just our little peanut.

Ethan,

Sweet, caring, loving, nice, patient, curious, determined, cautious, gentle, strong willed, energetic, huggable, lovable, adorable! These are just some of your traits that make you, you! We have watched you grow into a little man and you amaze us more and more each day. We love you beyond words, to the moon and back! We are so lucky to be your "buddy" and "pal".

You are our biggest boy ever!

My best friend, Ann, since 2nd grade, is preggers as well! Yeah, I'm so glad to be having babies together. My Ethan and her Bailey are 5 months apart. She is one week behind me, so we will see when we deliver how close the babies will be. She is having her first boy!

20 weeks

Not much new going on.

Feeling good and the baby is doing great. Getting through this hot summer by being in the pool a lot. Ethan is doing a summer school program for a few hours in the morning for a couple of weeks at a time. Kind of boring around here. It's so Hot outside we are inside most of the time. Ugh!

More baby pics

We had another ultrasound and regular Dr. appointment the day we came home from Munds Park. The baby is growing right on track and everything looks perfect! We are so thankful to be having a healthy baby boy. When we had our first ultrasound with Ethan, they found that one of his ureters was narrow. Long story but 3 surgery's later, Ethan is fine and has no issues due to that anymore. We had told Ethan's story to this OBGYN (since she is different than the one I had with Ethan) and the checked a few times that his organs looked normal. What a relief!

4th of July in Flag

During the 4th of July weekend we went up to the cabin in Munds Park. We were getting out of the Phx heat for 4 or 5 days. It was nice to be with Nick's family and relax.

My belly has really popped out now. I think it happened a few weeks ago. As I was outside on the hammock, the baby really started to move around. This was the first time he has been this active for me to feel a lot going on. I was sitting out there all by myself just giggling. I am excited to feel more.

How we told the Grandparents

I decided that since this was the last baby we would be having, I wanted to tell the Grandparents in a special way what we were having. So Ethan and I decided to surprise my mom at work one afternoon. We hopped in the car and went to a flower store. I had picked out flowers and had the florist make a bouquet for us to bring my mom. I put in the bouquet a pick that said "BOY" on it and stuck it in the flower arrangement. We went down to her office and I was hoping I would see her car in the parking lot. It was, so we carefully went into the front office. As we were approaching the door, I could hear her walking in the courtyard. So we rushed in the door so she wouldn't see us. The ladies up front asked if they could help me and I just told them I was here to surprise Anna, not to call her, I knew

where she was. So we headed down the hall and I let Ethan go ahead so she would see him first. She was pretty surprised to see us there and was loving up on Ethan. I gave her the bouquet and told her we were having another boy. She said she was the one supposed to be giving me flowers, not me giving her flowers! That's OK, it was a nice surprise and I wanted to do something special. She was Happy!

Now to tell Nick's parents. Well you can't go wrong with Chocolate in this family so I decided to bake a cake. A decedent, 2 layer, chocolate cake. In the middle I was going to put a blue layer of filling. That way when they cut into the cake they would know what we were having. When we got there I did a toll for who thought it was a girl and who thought it was a boy. It was I think 3 girl, 1 boy. Ha, ha, makes me laugh. Nick's mom got to cut into the cake and to everyone's surprise, it was blue! They are excited and we ate some pretty yummy cake!

Yeay!!! We are so excited to be having another Boy!

We went to the Dr.'s appointment not knowing if she would do an ultrasound this early to determine the gender. It was just my regular visit but I had Nick and Ethan with me just in case she could do it. The Dr. saw us walking down the hall to the room and just said, "You want to see if we can see what it is?" Well, ya! So sure enough he was giving us a good shot, nice and early! We are not decided on any names yet but we have decided that when we do pick one, we will announce it when he is born. We are glad that Ethan will have a little brother to grow up with. He is glad it's a boy as well :o)

11 weeks

Still feeling yucky. I have no drive to do anything. I'm tired all day. When I wake up, I will have a bowl of cereal and then feel like falling right back to sleep. I'm super lazy and don't want to do anything. No dishes, no laundry, no make up, nothing. If it weren't for me taking Ethan to school two days a week, I probably would not leave the house. It's horrible. I hate feeling this way and I hope it does not last long.

This is the first good picture of our little peanut. It's growing strong and almost a week ahead! She said the fetus is measuring at 12 weeks!

We celebrated Mother's Day this past weekend. Nick, Ethan and I took my mom to brunch at The Hyatt Gainey. It was one of the best spreads that I have seen and had. We typically go to the Desert Ridge Marriott but the past few years it's gotten more expensive and has gone down hill as far as food goes. The Gainey had a cute kids section and the tastiest lobster ravioli's I have ever had. After brunch we went to Nick's parents house for dinner with the family. They had a tasty pork loin with all the fixin's.
